Sean Freeborne, M.Sc., P.Geo.

I am a professional consulting geologist working in the Canadian mineral exploration and mining industry, with experience spanning early-stage exploration, target generation, drill programs, geological interpretation, resource development, technical reporting, and project execution. Since entering the industry in 2018, I have worked on gold, base metal, rare earth element (REE), uranium, and critical mineral exploration projects across Canada. My technical background includes structural geology, tectonics, field geology, geological modelling, GIS, geochemical interpretation, QA/QC, and the integration of geological, geophysical, and geochemical datasets to support exploration decision-making. I hold B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Earth Sciences from St. Francis Xavier University, with research focused on structural geology and tectonic evolution. My academic and industry experience has included geological research and fieldwork in Canada, Spain, and Nicaragua. In addition to consulting and technical work, I remain active within the Canadian geoscience and mining community through professional societies, industry committees, technical conferences, and collaborative research initiatives.
